In the spring of 2013, a 6-minutes video on the IRIS Mundial project at Île de la Gonâve, Haiti, has been publicly launched on social networks. Today, on Thursday August 13th, IRIS Mundial and VISIONTRAME release a longer version. It is a 30 minutes documentary which includes more details and testimonies about the mission. To all IRIS Mundial friends, here is the opportunity to learn more about the organization’s activities. For all volunteers, it is an opportunity to recall pleasant memories! Enjoy watching!

From January 9 to 16, 2013, IRIS Mundial volunteers went to the Island of La Gonave in Haiti to provide eye care to the community of Anse-à-Galets. The project was a great success. A dynamic team of thirty Canadian and Haitian volunteers (ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, nurses and assistants) provided eyecare to 1700 of the poorest patients on the island. They all received a thorough eye exam, prescription glasses, sunglasses and/or ocular drugs. In addition, thirty patients were able to receive cataract surgery and thus regain sight. Mr. Marco Pelletier, from VISIONTRAME, followed the volunteers with his camera and captured touching moments and testimonials that truly reflect the project. VISIONTRAME and IRIS Mundial are sharing with you this wonderful adventure!
