Context:

IRIS Mundial was created in 2001 with the mission of offering quality preventive and curative optometry, optics and ophthalmology services to populations in developing countries, as well as to people in need in Canada. 

In an effort to reach the most vulnerable people, IRIS Mundial is organizing a mobile clinic in the department of Podor, during which various villages far from major urban centers will be visited by its Canadian volunteer professionals (14 optometrists and opticians), who will provide a complete eye examination and, if necessary, a pair of prescription glasses. This project will be carried out in collaboration with the Association St-Louisienne pour la Vue (ASV), a long-standing partner of IRIS Mundial.

In this context, IRIS Mundial is appealing to your generosity to raise $20 ,000 CAD. The funds raised will enable us to pay for, among other things:

• Ocular medication
• Transportation and equipment 
• Mobile clinic organisation costs
• Funding of ocular surgeries for the most disadvantaged people.
